Fusion"
A spectacular audio-visual experience with spellbinding instrumental
fusion music by Trisakthi group in unison with highly evocative
and dynamic contemporary dance by the world renowned SAMUDRA dancers
along with graceful and spiritual bharata natyam performance by the young exponent
Mythili Prakash.
The Trisakthi group is a seven member team led
by the legendary Mattannur Sankaran Kutty, the greatest living exponent of the
Chenda and Tayambaka. Others in the fusion music group are MS Lavanya
(saxophone), Attukal Balasubramanium (violin), Jijith (keyboard), Karunamurthy (tavil),
Sasi (western drums) and Mahesh (mridangam). The Trisakthi group will be playing
a fusion of South Indian, North Indian and Western styles.

Samudra dancers explore the ancient Indian traditions of Dance
derived from the Vedic times through innovative experiments, pioneering a new style
that exploits the creative talents and power of the human body & mind. Samudra
find inspiration in their Indian heritage of folk traditions, Kalaripayattu (martial
art form of Kerala), Bharata natyam, yoga, Theyyam, rope mallakhambh style etc. Have performed at major International festivals, The Royal Opera House London, Venice Biennale festival, Iddac dance & Music festival France, winner of Best Production Award winner from among 55contestants at the Spoleto Festival, Italy, to name a few.(click

Mythili Prakash, is a young exponent of the Bharata Natyam who
displays the beauty, grandeur and eternal relevance of this ancient art form. Mythili
is considered one of the most accomplished young Bharata natyam dancers in the world
today. She was hailed a child prodigy on her solo debut at age eight and since then
has performed extensively in the UK, USA, and India. She has performed in collaborative works with choreographers like Janet Roston and Lynn Dally. She was a featured performer in "Solea" a piece featuring Tap, Modern, Flamenco and Bharathanatyam, which premiered for a week at the noted Joyce theatre, Broadway, New York(click

This is a specially choreographed integrated performance and will
be for about 2 hours. The Singapore event will be the world premiere for
the show. They will travel to 14 other countries across the world after
their show here.
